Smartdate.com secures $2,2 million in seed funding and launches Alpha version
Paris-based dating site Smartdate.com today announced it had secured a further $2,2M in seed funding to launch its Facebook-connected online dating site.
This is one of the most significant seed funding investments ever for a dating site. Smartdate had previously secured Angel investment from 4 international Business Angels for a total of $400,000.
Founded on Jan 1st 2010, Smartdate is the first online dating site with full Facebook connectivity. Smartdate offers its users a more authentic experience of online dating. Based in Paris, Smardate is already available in 6 languages : French, English, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish.
